Winter at Whinnies & Wags is our slightly slower season of the year, with time to rest, reflect on the past year, and complete projects we don’t have time for during the busy summer months and holidays. It gives us a chance for hiking, bird watching, and tackling that stack of books we’ve been wanting to read. It looks like 2026 will have more challenges imposed on all of us by the outside world of manufactured outrage, war, environmental destruction, and endless polarization. At Whinnies & Wags, we try to provide a climate of peace, quiet, introspection, learning, and kindness toward all people, animals, and our earth. We reject the current culture of bigotry, hatred, and never-ending outrage and will do our part to work toward creating a better, more compassionate world.
