Your pet sitters
Maria Johnston started Whinnies & Wags in 2013 after a career in the publishing industry and a few years as a Transportation Security Officer at GSP Airport (where she passed an extensive background check for a federal security clearance). Because her love of animals has been a constant in her life, she started out pet sitting for family and friends and eventually decided to make it an official business. Maria has owned horses, dogs, cats, and rabbits and is happiest when surrounded by her own and her clients’ four-legged friends. She can’t wait to add your special pet to the Whinnies & Wags family!
Kenn joined Whinnies & Wags in 2025 and has been a valuable addition to the company. He is retired from the federal service and works part time at a day center for people with disabilities. He is equally at home cleaning horse stalls, walking dogs, and spending some quiet time with our many feline clients. Like Maria, he is focused on being thorough, attentive to detail, kind, and caring to both human and furry clients.
